Design, Display
To begin with, the Galaxy M33 5G is different from its predecessor in terms of design. While last year’s M32 has had camera rings protruding out of the back frame, the M33 has a squared camera stack. Yet, the water-drop style is still there on the front. The screen measure a 6.6-inch which is a TFT LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The device measures 9.4mm thick and weighs 215 grams. Likewise, it will be available in Green, Blue, and Brown color options.
Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy M33 5G comes with the company’s in-house Exynos 1280 chip. Based on a 5nm process, it packs two Cortex-A78 cores (@2.4GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (@2.0GHz). As far as memory goes, you can configure it with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Likewise, it comes pre-installed with One UI 4.1 out-of-the-box based on Android 12. Whereas, the company has promised two years of major OS upgrades and four years of security patches.
Cameras, Others
In terms of cameras, you get four of them at the back compromising a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.2 macro shooter. For selfies, you get an 8MP f/ 2.2 snapper.
Powering the phone is a 6000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. Sadly, Samsung hasn’t included the compatible charging brick inside the box this time around. Moreover, the biometric option includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Whereas, for audio, there’s a bottom-firing mono speaker.
